Before you write

1. Our lab will stop accepting the new graduate students from

  • Master student: after September 2027

  • Doctoral student: after March 2027

 

2. Read our research pages and identify which theme matches your interests.

3. Formal admission is through the ISCT graduate admissions process — this contact is for finding a supervisor and discussing fit, not an application itself.

4. Laboratory does not directly provide funding for prospect students. For financial support, the prospect student is expected to see external scholarship such as MEXT scholarship.

  2. Which research theme interests you, and why — refer to a specific topic or publication of ours

  3. Relevant background — coursework, projects, publications related to that theme

  4. Funding plan and timing — MEXT, other scholarship, or self-funded; target admission semester

  5. Attach your CV (PDF) and possibly a transcript
